Pro: intensive support in a long-term care context
Pro is a new form of care that prioritises offering people with mild intellectual disabilities unconditional care and as normal a life as possible. Three care organisations currently provide Pro care for 24 service users with mild intellectual disabilities, complex care needs, and a long history of relocations. This PhD research involves evaluating Pro at the service user, staff, and organisational level and exploring effective components of Pro.
