The role of quality of life domains in choosing a service provider by people with intellectual disabilities and their families
This qualitative study explored what individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families consider important when choosing a service provider, and the extent to which choosing a service provider is related to one or more quality of life domains. The study identified the following factors, among others: physical location, type of care and support provided, familiarity with the service provider, quality of support staff, group composition, and availability.
